Instant | Cryptocurrency payment card company Wirex obtains issuing license from Mastercard
Mastercard has announced that cryptocurrency debit card company Wirex has become the first to secure its principal membership, which essentially means Wirex can issue cards without depending on a bank. In contrast, recent issues with Crypto.com arose from the insolvency of its card issuer Wirecard, affecting its services.

Major Player in Cryptocurrency Circle: Coinbase, a Member of VISA
In February of this year, Coinbase announced its formal membership as the first major member of Visa in the cryptocurrency industry. This allows Coinbase to have the qualifications of issuing and acquiring institutions, enabling it to handle credit card-related businesses like traditional banks.
According to Coinbase's official Blog, Coinbase launched the Coinbase Card in the UK as early as April 2019, allowing users to spend 10 different cryptocurrencies in millions of stores. Its usage rate is highest in the UK, followed by Italy, Spain, and France.
Furthermore, after Binance acquired the cryptocurrency debit card company Swipe, the company's token was also listed on Binance and has recently been a leader in terms of price increase.
