Blockchain fintech company XREX announced today that it has obtained ISO/IEC 27001 certification. ISO/IEC 27001 is an international standard jointly issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), verifying whether an enterprise or organization's Information Security Management System (ISMS) has a complete risk assessment and management plan.

XREX has received verification from the British Standards Institution (BSI), joining the ranks of top cryptocurrency exchanges and platforms such as Binance, Crypto.com, and Cybavo, incorporating the strict requirements of ISO/IEC 27001 into its cybersecurity management system. XREX achieved a flawless record in all 114 application standards, qualifying for certification.

XREX Co-founder and CEO Wayne Huang stated: "Effective prevention and mitigation of cyber risks are crucial not only for virtual currency operators but for all businesses today. With the advancement of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, only platforms that adhere to these principles can gain the trust of banks, regulatory bodies, users, and the public. I am proud that XREX is among the leaders in this regard."

XREX awarded ISO/IEC 27001 certification

Currently, no country or jurisdiction mandates virtual currency operators to obtain this ISO certification. However, XREX voluntarily invested resources and time to pass such rigorous scrutiny, not only proving itself as a legitimate and compliant platform but also demonstrating the team's commitment to the highest standards of information security and user protection.

XREX's Chief Security Officer and General Manager, Sun Huang, led the ISO application project, stating: "XREX's security team has accumulated decades of collective experience in the cybersecurity field, establishing numerous precise defense mechanisms and rigorously monitoring various risk factors, actively implementing the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 international cybersecurity standard. XREX will continue to strive for the highest international standards and work with the global community to create a safer environment for blockchain and cryptocurrency use."

In May of this year, XREX was approved as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) by the Lithuanian authorities and obtained licenses from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) in the United States and as a Money Service Business (MSB) in Canada. XREX is currently applying for a Major Payment Institution license with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which will allow XREX to provide cryptocurrency payment services.
