So far, these funds have been used to purchase 5,500 bulletproof vests, 500 armored bulletproof vests, 3,427 medicines, 60 walkie-talkies, 410,000 boxed lunches, 3,125 infrared imagers, and 500 helmets, "each helmet and vest purchased with crypto donations is protecting the lives of Ukrainian soldiers."

According to Bornyakov's tweet, these supplies were purchased with funds donated to the Ministry of Digital Transformation since March 1, with the department starting to raise cryptocurrency since February 26.

Previously, Bornyakov stated in an interview, "In a situation where banks cannot operate, cryptocurrencies have shown to be a more efficient way of transferring funds, making transactions faster and almost immediately effective."

The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation stated that although the cryptocurrency donations received by Ukraine may not account for a large percentage of the country's economy, they are "indispensable" in this war.

"I believe the total cryptocurrency donations have reached close to $100 million," Bornyakov said.
