Micro-nation Liberland appoints Tron founder Justin Sun as Prime Minister

The microstate of Liberland, located on the border between Croatia and Serbia, recently announced the election results of its new parliament, with Tron founder Justin Sun appointed as the country's Prime Minister. Liberland is a microstate aiming to establish a decentralized nation through blockchain technology, challenging existing national systems in the pursuit of becoming a true "free country."

Liberland Advocates for Decentralized System to Build a Nation

Liberland has stated that the election process this time is conducted using a blockchain voting system, managed automatically by algorithmic rules, ensuring each step is transparent and the election results cannot be tampered with. The aim is to avoid the controversies commonly seen in traditional election methods, such as election fraud or ballot stuffing, eliminating the distrust of the election results. Liberland hopes to be a pioneer in this field, showing everyone that this type of election method will become more common in the future. However, Liberland has not disclosed the online information and election process of the election.

Liberland, a Micronation

Despite having its own flag, passport, and application process for "citizens," so far, no international organization or other country has recognized it as a legitimate sovereign state. Situated in the "no man's land" between Croatia and Serbia, it was declared by Czech politician Vit Jedlička in 2015. Due to the territorial dispute, the two neighboring countries have not recognized Liberland's sovereignty. Jedlička used this to declare Liberland a sovereign state to the world based on the concept of "terra nullius."

Croatia is displeased with Liberland's existence, occasionally preventing people from entering Liberland, while Serbia believes that Liberland poses no threat as long as activities remain on the west bank of the Danube River.
