Elon Musk, known for his tweets, said: "Thinking about getting a Shiba Inu." This unexpectedly caused Shiba Inu coin (SHIB) to surge by 500%.
After being absent from cryptocurrency-related tweets for several days, the familiar face of Tesla's founder, Elon Musk, has returned to the scene, pumping Dogecoin, Shiba Inu Coin, and posting intriguing tweets. It seems that Musk's Dogecoin tweets are now seen as routine by the crypto community and no longer have a pump effect, but Shiba Inu Coin unexpectedly surged by 500%.

Coinbase Should List Dogecoin
Elon Musk tweeted on March 13th: "The Boring Company, TBC, anagram for BTC, how cool is that!"
Following that, a fan asked, given the report that Tesla bought Bitcoin through Coinbase last time, do you think Coinbase should list Dogecoin to make it more accessible to the public? Musk responded affirmatively to this.
Yes!

The Dog Days
Musk first changed the Oscar-winning movie "Dog Day Afternoon" to "Doge Day Afternoon." He then altered the ancient Roman myth behind the movie title:
Origin of Doge Day Afternoon: On the eve of Doge Day, the ancient Romans sacrificed a Dogecoin to appease the wrath of Sirius, believing it to be the cause of the hot weather.
Note: Sirius, also known as the Dog Star, appears in the Northern Hemisphere around July and August. The ancient Romans named this period "dog days," believing Sirius represented the hot, dry summer weather and thought its appearance caused the heat. To appease Sirius, sacrifices were made, often using brown dogs.
Shiba Inu Coin SHIB Becomes a New Favorite?
The result of this tweet was a surge in tokens, not for the widely known Dogecoin, as Musk tweeted:
I'm thinking of getting a Shiba Inu, #resistanceisfutile.
I’m getting a Shiba Inu #resistanceisfutile

What follows is the usual routine in the crypto world. A rather niche Shiba Inu coin, SHIB, surged over 500%, rising from 0.00000002 to 0.00000011 USD, with trading markets seemingly limited to Uniswap, 1inch, and Hotbit.
Previously, Musk had complained about the concentration of Dogecoin holdings. Subsequently, he tweeted "fork" and "Dojo 4 Doge," leading to speculation among the public about Musk's intention to fork Dogecoin or integrate Tesla's supercomputer Dojo into mining activities.
This time, is Musk simply expressing his desire to own a Shiba Inu, or is he hinting at having found an alternative to Dogecoin?
