Actress Maisie Williams, who played "Arya Stark" in the American TV series "Game of Thrones," sparked a frenzy in the cryptocurrency community by asking fans to vote on whether they should invest in Bitcoin.

Arya Stark's Dilemma

British actress Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the HBO hit series "Game of Thrones," took to Twitter on November 16 to ask her 2.7 million followers whether she should "go long on Bitcoin."

At the time of writing, 475,000 people have participated in the poll, with the majority (59.9%) suggesting she invest in this emerging asset.

Crypto Community Reacts

Maisie Williams' tweet stirred up the cryptocurrency community, with many notable figures joining in and expressing their opinions below her tweet. Barry Silbert, CEO of Digital Currency Group, the parent company of Grayscale, played on a show reference, commenting:

"You should check out another 'Grayscale' (in the show, Greyscale refers to a disease)"

On the other hand, Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital, mentioned that he has bought more Bitcoin and advised Maisie Williams to do the same!

"I bought more Bitcoin yesterday at $15,800. It will go to 20k-65k. The network effect is powerful, and I see tons of new buyers and little supply. Buying more has never been easier than now compared to 11k. So, yes, buy it."

When J.K. Rowling previously inquired about "What is Bitcoin?" to the community, Elon Musk, who had clarified it for her before, made a humorous appearance this time. Instead of explaining Bitcoin seriously, he adapted the theme song of the Netflix series "The Witcher" to "Toss a bitcoin to your witcher."

Celebrities and Bitcoin

In 2020, many celebrities and influencers in the entertainment industry openly mentioned Bitcoin. For instance, J.K. Rowling asked about Bitcoin on Twitter this year, prompting responses from prominent figures such as Ethereum founder Vitalik, EOS founder Daniel Larimer, and notable venture capital firm a16z.

American comedian Kevin Hart, while hosting a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), devised a humorous segment where a guest inquired about accepting cryptocurrency donations like Bitcoin. Initially criticizing cryptocurrency as "voodoo money," Kevin Hart later humorously accepted cryptocurrency donations.

Although these celebrities did not endorse or invest in Bitcoin directly, they inadvertently provided significant exposure for Bitcoin.
