Ali Yahya, a partner at the prominent venture capital firm a16z, announced today on Twitter that a16z will be investing in the decentralized autonomous organization PleasrDAO, which focuses on art collections. The honorary member pplpleasr has also created a promotional video showcasing the various items that PleasrDAO has purchased in the past.

Introduction to PleasrDAO
PleasrDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization composed of DeFi leaders, early NFT collectors, and digital artists. It primarily acquires art pieces with cultural significance or internet history fragments in a charitable manner, focusing mainly on NFTs, hence gaining popularity in the cryptocurrency community.
One of the most well-known collections is the Doge meme NFT, auctioned in June this year for 1696.9 ETH, approximately $4 million at the time.
The original purpose of PleasrDAO was to acquire the teaser video NFT "x*y=k" designed by Taiwanese artist pplpleasr for UniSwap V3, initially purchased for 310 ETH, around $520,000 at the time.
