Netmarble, a major South Korean mobile game developer known for games like "Lineage 2: Revolution," announced in February that its subsidiary, Netmarble F&C, signed a memorandum of understanding. In March, they launched their first blockchain game to enter the metaverse, "GOLDEN BROS." This 3v3 combat shooting game differs from the previous "play-to-earn" (P2E) model with a high capital threshold, while also offering a free play option to greatly enhance its gameplay. According to officials, Golden Bros will operate on the BNB Chain, making it the flagship game to debut on the BNB Chain among many blockchain games planned for this year.

GOLDEN BROS Offers Free Play, P2E Satisfies Different Players

Golden Bros is not only a free game but also allows players to earn while playing. Anyone can download the game and start playing. Golden Bros provides nine default characters for players to engage in 3v3 combat shooting games; equipping NFT outfits can earn rewards during battles.

The outfits come in different levels: High-end, Luxury, and Classic as non-NFT. High-end and Luxury outfits are NFTs that offer profit models to users, while Classic outfits are non-NFT and only provide sporadic rewards for daily tasks.

In the Play-to-Earn (P2E) system, the number of game tokens one can earn depends on three factors: battle results, outfit levels, and league levels.

  1. Battle Results: Winners receive more rewards than others.
  2. Outfit Levels: The higher the outfit level, the higher the yield.
  3. League Levels: Higher-level members compete for larger prize pools.
