Well-known game company Atari's casino metaverse unexpectedly exposed! Promotional video drastically differs from actual content
The well-known US game developer Atari announced in March of this year that they would develop a gambling game, Atari Casino, on the Ethereum platform, and released a promotional video at the end of November. However, before the game was officially launched, it seems that Atari encountered some technical issues internally, as the game was made available for players to experience before it was fully developed?

Atari Casino Introduces Metaverse Concept
According to a visually stunning promotional video released by Atari, the Atari Casino is not just a gaming platform, but a vast metaverse world with an expansive map. Players can create a character representing themselves inside and enjoy various gambling games such as blackjack, Texas Hold'em poker, and slot machines. Additionally, there are up to billions of NFTs available for purchase to customize their characters.
Early Exposure of Atari Metaverse
Prior to the official launch of the metaverse, a Twitter user BitcasinoRank discovered that the official website already allowed game downloads, providing a sneak peek at the facilities. They documented their findings in an article. Upon learning of this news, Atari's official representative Josh responded on Twitter, acknowledging that the premature release was due to an internal oversight. The platform is still in development, with more features awaiting users.

Overview of Atari Metaverse
As detailed in BitcasinoRank's article, the game requires linking to an Ethereum wallet and binding an email address for login. Upon logging in, players can create a character based on their preferences, although the available accessories for selection are currently limited.
Once in the game, players can easily locate the casino building, which is still under construction and appears quite empty.
Although some game prototypes exist, gameplay is not yet available. The primary transactions and entertainment activities within the game are conducted using the ERC-20 token ATRI issued by Atari.
In addition to gambling games, the tokens earned by players in the game, ATRI, can be used to purchase favorite items in the in-game NFT store.
Outside the casino lobby, there are a few buildings labeled as Apartments, where players can use ATRI tokens to purchase their exclusive private space within the Atari metaverse.
This is the current information available, showing a rather rudimentary state and graphics not as polished as in the trailer. It remains to be seen if Atari will bring a different metaverse experience to players once the official version is released.
