Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collaborates with Coinbase to release a trilogy of Bored Ape movies in Hollywood!

The cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has partnered with the popular NFT art collection "Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)" to create a series of movies featuring the Bored Ape characters. These movies will be produced by Coinbase Entertainment and will revolve around selected BAYC NFT characters.

Coinbase announced this film project on the 11th. After releasing the teaser, Coinbase tweeted on Twitter and said, "This is definitely something. We are making an interactive film composed of the [Bored Ape Yacht Club] and Apecoin communities. Come join us in building it together!"

Coinbase stated on Twitter that people can help in the production of the film by connecting their wallets, submitting Bored Apes, and "finding hidden Easter eggs."

William Swann, Director of Entertainment and Culture Marketing at Coinbase, said, "At Coinbase, we are committed to creating and supporting content projects that engage directly with our community and uphold the innovative culture of Web3."

He pointed out that Coinbase's goal is to onboard the next billion people into the crypto economy, "We firmly believe this interactive film series will serve as a catalyst towards achieving this mission and help audiences understand the collaborative nature of Web3."

Nicole Muniz, CEO of Yuga Labs, the company behind the creation of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT project, stated that the three-part film series project in collaboration with Coinbase is a groundbreaking step in NFTs and entertainment.

In mid-January of this year, Coinbase partnered with Mastercard to support the NFT market. Mastercard credit and debit card users will be able to pay for NFT assets through Coinbase.
