MetaMask launches Snaps feature! Manage Bitcoin assets, customize wallet experience

With the new MetaMask Snaps feature recently launched on MetaMask, users can now manage Bitcoin assets on MetaMask, supporting more networks, functionalities, security tools, and more.

Introduction to MetaMask Snaps

MetaMask Snaps is a system that allows anyone to securely extend the functionality of MetaMask in an isolated environment, enabling users to customize their wallet experience. For example, adding new APIs to MetaMask, supporting different blockchain protocols, and modifying existing functionalities using internal APIs.

According to a demonstration video released by MetaMask today, users can manage their Bitcoin assets, make transfers, and view transaction records by downloading the Snap feature in MetaMask after opening the btcsnap website. However, based on testing, the website was not functional at the time of publication.
