Solana announces the launch of open-source Android software, blockchain phone Saga now available for pre-order

The public blockchain Solana (SOL) has released open-source software for the Android operating system today: Solana Mobile Stack. This software enables the development of native Android web3 applications, including support for Seed Vault as a secure custody protocol on mobile devices, separating private keys from wallets, applications, and the Android operating system, as well as Solana Pay. Additionally, there will be a Solana dApp Store for users to access decentralized applications on Android.

The public blockchain Solana SOL has released today an open-source software for the Android mobile system: Solana Mobile Stack. This software enables the development of native Android web3 applications, including support for Seed Vault as a secure custodial protocol for mobile devices, separating private keys from wallets, applications, and the Android operating system, as well as featuring Solana Pay. Additionally, there will be a Solana dApp Store for users to access decentralized applications on Android.

In addition, Solana has unveiled an Android phone named Saga, which includes a 6.67-inch OLED display, 12 GB RAM, 512 GB storage, and the latest Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform. It is currently available for pre-order at $100, with an expected price of $1000 and scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of 2023.

Pre-order customers will receive a Saga Pass NFT, allowing them to participate in the platform's community governance for Solana Mobile Stack.
