The multi-chain wallet BitKeep reported today that user assets have been stolen. Many users have reported asset losses on the official Telegram channel, and the official statement was released this morning.

After the initial investigation by the BitKeep team, it is suspected that some APK downloads were hijacked by hackers who implanted malicious code. Therefore, some users' BitKeep wallets may not be the official version, resulting in funds being stolen.

The BitKeep team recommends that users download the APK version and transfer their funds to wallets downloaded from official app stores such as the App Store or Google Play. They should also use a newly created wallet address to prevent leakage of their previous address.

Furthermore, the BitKeep team mentioned that if a user's wallet is hacked, they should promptly provide relevant materials such as screenshots of the theft, wallet address, stolen transaction ID, and download method to the staff or volunteers. The BitKeep Security Fund will provide full compensation.
