Telegram continues to introduce various "money-making games" to attract many new users in the cryptocurrency circle to join its digital asset ecosystem Ton. Yu Xian, the founder of the cybersecurity company SlowMist, mentioned that due to the overly open nature of the Ton ecosystem, many phishing links or functionalities provided in the form of Telegram bots are spread through chat groups, deceiving users by claiming to distribute assets in the TON wallet under the guise of airdrops.
Since Telegram allows users to anonymously obtain virtual phone numbers through bidding to purchase NFTs for registering accounts and using various services, Yu Xian also pointed out that if the NFT is stolen, the entire Telegram account may disappear. It is recommended that these users enable 2FA two-factor authentication to prevent theft.
