Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele conducted a nationwide live broadcast on the morning of the 25th in Taiwan time, explaining the Bitcoin Law (LeyBitcoin) and the various benefits of adopting Bitcoin. He also announced that each citizen will receive $30 worth of Bitcoin as a consumption bonus. It is said to be officially implemented on September 7th.

El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele officially unveiled their Bitcoin payment app, Chivo, which allows for electronic payments via QR code, exchange between US dollars and Bitcoin, and KYC verification.
