Numbers Protocol fights against deepfakes, AI-powered crimes.

Taiwanese native blockchain technology team Numbers Protocol recently introduced a new feature called "Capture Eye" that supports website building tools such as Google Site, Wix, WordPress, and Webflow. The first partner to utilize this feature is the Web 3 news agency Pyro Image. News encrypted on the chain is consolidated in the image database. Photographers and journalists can record news on the blockchain and attribute the original author's name and notes.

Taiwan is currently inundated with fake news and false information. Deep Fake images generated by AI have become tools for criminals. Scam groups are intelligent criminals who use advanced artificial intelligence technology to quickly steal personal information and photos of celebrities and ordinary people, generating a large number of Deep Fake images and videos to spread false information, fuel various financial crimes, and seriously disrupt social stability.

In the chaos brought by AI and Deep Fake, verifying the identity of creators and the authenticity of news becomes particularly important.

Blockchain Verification in War Journalism and Crime Record Investigations

Numbers Protocol collaborates with Rolling Stone and Starling Lab to verify war crime documentary photography using blockchain technology, marking the first application of Web 3 technology in crime investigation scenes. Photographers encrypt the collected document data during investigations and verify them on Numbers Protocol through photography.

Attempting to Address Deep Fake

Grayscale's research report released on July 17, titled AI is Coming, includes Numbers Protocol in the blockchain companies able to solve Deep Fake crimes using blockchain technology, alongside WorldCoin.

What is Numbers Protocol?

Numbers Protocol's founder Tammy Yang previously participated in the AI startup lab DT 42, where she felt uneasy about the potential social impact of AI. The following year, Tammy Yang, along with Sofia Yan and Bofu Chen, founded Numbers Protocol. The company's vision is to verify creator identities and digital asset copyrights using blockchain technology. The first product launched, the Capture App, is available for download on the Apple Store. Creators can directly upload photos taken on their phones to the app, sign them on the chain instantly, and view digital assets anytime with an embedded encrypted wallet.

Angel investors of Numbers Protocol include Phil Chen, Co-Founder of Race Capital, Steve Chen, Co-Founder of YouTube, and Kevin Lin, Co-Founder of Twitch.
