Xi Jinping Emphasizes China

On October 1st, the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was celebrated. During the National Day celebrations, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized promoting national development and rejuvenation with Chinese-style modernization, expressed views on issues related to Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, and discussed China's relationship with the global destiny.

China's Core Mission of Modernization: Promoting Strong Nation Building and National Revival

In a statement, Xi Jinping emphasized that promoting China's modernization in a Chinese way to comprehensively advance strong nation building and national revival is the central task of the Communist Party of China and the country in the new era. Xi Jinping stressed that advancing China's modernization must always adhere to the core leadership of the Communist Party of China, uphold the authority and centralized leadership of the Party Central Committee, and persist in comprehensively and strictly governing the Party.

Emphasizing "One Country, Two Systems" and Taiwan's Unification

When discussing Hong Kong and Macao, Xi Jinping pointed out that achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is the common aspiration of all Chinese people, including compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. He emphasized the need to fully and faithfully implement the principle of "One Country, Two Systems" to ensure the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao.

Regarding the Taiwan issue, Xi Jinping reiterated that "Taiwan is an integral part of China," and that the people on both sides of the strait are "as close as family." He stated that China upholds the principle of "One China" and the "1992 Consensus," deepens economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, resolutely opposes "Taiwan independence" separatist activities, and emphasizes that the reunification of the motherland is an unstoppable historical trend.

No Mention of China-US Trade Friction by Xi Jinping

In this speech, Xi Jinping did not directly mention the trade frictions between China and the United States or China and Europe. In recent years, tensions between China and the United States and Europe have continued to escalate, with Western countries imposing increased technological restrictions and tariffs on China. However, Xi Jinping's speech focused more on praising China's role in globalization and thanking "friendly countries" and partners supporting China's development.

New Trends in the Chinese Economy: Stock Market Rise and Policy Support

In recent weeks, the Chinese markets have been active, with mainland China and Hong Kong stock markets reaching new highs in nearly a year. Xi Jinping emphasized during a high-level meeting on October 1st that efforts will be made to prevent a downturn in the real estate market and strengthen fiscal and monetary policy support.
