Bear market strikes, panic ensues, two major hedge funds rumored to have deleted all tweets overnight.

Foreign media 8BTCnews reported on the morning of June 23 that venture capital firms Multicoin Capital and Alameda Research have each deleted all their tweets, leading the community to draw parallels with the recent crisis involving Celsius and Three Arrows Capital. Many believe this to be another major bearish signal, but in reality, it seems that Alameda has never posted on Twitter.

8BTCnews tweet pointed out:

Hedge fund Multicoin Capital and cryptocurrency market maker Alameda Research have both deleted all tweets. As previously reported, Alameda has sent nearly $2 billion worth of cryptocurrency to the exchange FTX in the past week.

Senior DeFi trader DegenSpartan immediately questioned, "Could it be that these two accounts have never tweeted before?"

The Block's Head of Research Larry Cermak then specifically pointed out:

Multicoin tweeted in 2017 and then deleted all content around 2018. Alameda has never tweeted, so it's really interesting how this misinformation spreads so quickly.

Co-founder of Multicoin Kyle Samani also expressed absurdity, claiming that all his tweets are still there, even the slightly awkward and community-loved sarcastic tweets are all there in the open.

However, according to the web time machine Wayback Machine showed, Alameda had posted and then deleted tweets on 4/16, 5/10, 5/15, 5/17, and 5/21 this year, with no signs of deletion shown on the Twitter deletion tracking channel CryptoDeleted displayed.

What can be confirmed is that this incident is definitely not as rumored by the community at the beginning, Multicoin and Alameda did not delete all tweets overnight.
