The founder of the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, SBF, who is currently under house arrest, released a lengthy statement at 9 p.m. today, explaining why FTX is unable to meet its obligations. Regarding the most infuriating issue for the affected users, the "misappropriation of funds," SBF stated:

"I did not steal any funds or conceal billions of dollars. All my assets have been used to support FTX users in the past and present, and I have voluntarily given all my private Robinhood shares to the users."

He continues to complain that he was pressured by the law firm Sullivan & Crowell and FTX US legal advisors to appoint the current restructuring officer John Ray, which prevents users from receiving full compensation. Until now, he still believes that if FTX International is restarted, users may receive substantial compensation.
