Time 100 List Revealed: Only Vitalik from the Crypto Space Makes the Cut, Salvadoran President Makes the List Despite Controversial Past

Time magazine has released its list of the 2021 top 100 most influential people, with only Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin from the cryptocurrency field making it to the list of innovators, while Elon Musk and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang also appear on the list.

Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin

Vitalik Buterin's introduction was written by Reddit Co-Founder Alexis Ohanian, who mentioned his pride in observing Vitalik's growth from the early days.

Vitalik's accomplishments include the value he has brought to Ethereum, such as its $400 billion market cap, a variety of DApps, and the thriving NFT space. He is considered exceptional due to his role as a builder's builder in ecosystem development. Ohanian pointed out:

No single person could have conceived of all the uses of Ethereum, but it takes one person's idea to get things started. From there, a new world of integrated blockchain applications has opened up. None of this would exist without Vitalik's creativity, and I have never been more excited about the potential of the internet, largely thanks to Vitalik Buterin.

Tesla Co-Founder Elon Musk

Thrive Global CEO Arianna Huffington wrote the introduction for Musk, stating that Musk has dedicated his life to breaking barriers and leading humanity forward.

The term "entrepreneur" is no longer sufficient for Musk, who, from co-founding and selling PayPal, has ventured into groundbreaking projects such as Tesla, SpaceX, and the mundane company Boring Company focused on tunnel construction.

He has not only transformed human transportation but also provided solutions to significant human survival challenges.

President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele

President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele gained notoriety for advocating Bitcoin as the country's legal tender. He was listed among the top 100 influencers as a leader, with the introduction written by El Faro journalist Daniel Lizárraga.

There have been numerous criticisms against Nayib Bukele, such as negotiations between the Bukele government and Salvadoran gangs. Bukele accused El Faro of lying about the situation on Twitter without any basis.

It was also mentioned that last year, Nayib Bukele dispatched a large number of armed forces to oversee the parliament due to concerns that the budget would not pass. In May of this year, he orchestrated the removal of Attorney General Raul Melara and all senior judges of the Supreme Court through controlling parliamentary votes. The latest move was to have the Supreme Court pass a ruling allowing presidential reelection for two terms.

Daniel Lizárraga stated that he was expelled from the country by the Bukele administration in July. For Bukele, the government is intolerant of any doubt.

NFL Legendary Quarterback Tom Brady

NFL legendary quarterback Tom Brady was nominated as a titan in the top 100 influential people, with an introduction written by legendary soccer star David Beckham.

Brady is believed to be one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of American football, and there is much anticipation for his performance in the next season.
