In 2015, former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, Martin Shkreli, became a public enemy in the United States for acquiring the patent for the key drug Daraprim, used to treat malaria, cancer, and HIV, and raising its price by 55 times for profit. However, Martin Shkreli faced karma when he was sentenced to prison in 2017 for his involvement in securities fraud and served 4 years before being released in May of this year.

Despite his uncommon experience of being in prison, Martin Shkreli once reassured Terra founder Do Kwon on a podcast that prison life wasn't as bad as portrayed. Recently, he also provided some "prison survival tips" to FTX founder SBF on another show to help SBF make his time in prison more bearable.

Martin Shkreli's Prison Survival Guide

On Laura Shin's podcast "Unchained," well-known journalist in the crypto space, Martin Shkreli, shared his thoughts on the possibility of SBF going to prison, stating that SBF is not the type who would be comfortable in jail.

"My advice to him includes shaving his head and lowering his voice. He might have a lot of problems in there because he's a bit fragile, with some sense of autism or sensitivity that won't make him do well in prison," Martin Shkreli said.

Furthermore, Martin Shkreli also believes that SBF needs to quickly understand street, gang, and prison culture, and listen to as much rap music as possible.

"It sounds funny, but it could save his life," Martin Shkreli added.

According to a report by the New York Post, staff have installed cameras at SBF's residence in California, SBF is required to wear an ankle monitor and have restricted movement, and is expected to appear in court again on 1/3.

Recalling Martin Shkreli Comforting Do Kwon

On the night CZ announced the possible acquisition of SBF, Martin Shkreli appeared on the "Up Only" podcast hosted by crypto KOL Cobie along with Do Kwon. At that time, Martin Shkreli said to Do Kwon:

"I just want you to know, prison is not that bad, it's not the worst thing. Of course, I hope it doesn't happen, but if it does, it's not that bad."

Do Kwon responded with a polite yet awkward smile, saying, "Good to know."
