Vitalik's Message: 90% of Shiba Inu Coins Burned
At around 5 a.m. Taiwan time GMT+8, Ethereum founder Vitalik left a message in the transaction details:
"I have decided to burn 90% of my remaining Shiba Inu coins in my wallet. The remaining 10% may be donated to a charity with a longer-term outlook like CryptoRelief to prevent massive loss of life. The pandemic is a big issue right now, but the long-term future matters too.
Leaving the remaining tokens in a wallet starting with 0xab58 is not my choice. For security reasons, they need to be moved to a more suitable wallet, as any transactions I make will be interpreted as some action. So it's best to deal with this quickly."
He continued:
"The response from the dog coin community to my donations has impressed me. Many dog coin supporters have shown their generosity and willingness to make the world a better place, not just focusing on their profits but on making the world better, and I support that behavior."
Vitalik: Please Stop Sending Coins Uninvited
Finally, he also stated:
"But for those who are planning to create tokens or DAOs in the future,
please don't send your project's tokens or rights to me without my consent
I don't want to be a part of that. It would be better to send those coins directly to charitable organizations, but please discuss it with them first."
