Fact Check | Zhao Changpeng (CZ) stated in 2021 that he had stopped following Tesla founder Elon Musk.
The cryptocurrency media is abundant and diverse, often featuring unverified information. @WhaleChart, with nearly 400,000 Twitter followers, posted a suspicious message today on 5/15, 2023, claiming: "Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao unfollows Musk, causing a stir in the crypto community." See the image below. However, is this true? Regardless, netizens express that they are not concerned about this matter.

CZ stated in 2021: Has Stopped Following Musk
Interestingly, it seems that at any time after 2021, one could say "CZ is no longer following Musk" because as early as 2021, CZ had stated that he had stopped following Musk.
As of the deadline of 5/15, CZ had 1637 following accounts. According to internet archive data, on 5/14 it was also 1637, on 5/13 it was 1638, and on 5/12 it was 1636. Whether CZ added Musk back at some point before this and then canceled recently is unknown.
However, there doesn't seem to be direct evidence showing that CZ recently "stopped following Musk."
Twitter Policy Changes Create Ambiguity
It may be a Twitter policy change that has created "ambiguous information" and room for interpretation. Because current service providers no longer have easy access to data to monitor changes in following accounts on Twitter.
On 4/8 this year, the company @unfollowerstats, which had nearly 60,000 followers for analyzing Twitter unfollows, stated that due to changes in Twitter's API, they had to cease operations. The new API policy does not support their operation.
Another similar service account @UnfollowMonkey with 220,000 followers also stated that under the new policy changes, they will no longer accept new paid members, and notifications will also decrease.
