Japan's leading airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) launches NFT marketplace! Exquisite aviation photography already bid up to 160,000 Japanese yen.

Japanese legacy airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced yesterday, May 30, that it is launching an NFT marketplace in collaboration with its subsidiary ANA NEO, aimed at promoting unique products from various regions in Japan. The current market offers a variety of NFTs for sale, with the most expensive being an aviation photograph NFT priced at ¥160,000, approximately $1,150.

Introduction to ANA NFT Marketplace

ANA NEO announced last year that they are developing a virtual travel platform called "ANA GranWhale," aiming to recreate world landmarks and cultures in the metaverse using technologies like VR, while providing services for shopping, activities, and tours to users.

The NFT marketplace launched by the ANA Group is built on ANA GranWhale. Since its official opening on 5/30, there are currently 3 projects from different companies available on the platform, totaling 267 NFTs for trading.

The first NFT series in this marketplace is created by aviation photographer Luke Ozawa, featuring two pieces. One is a photo of a Boeing 787 taking off from a cherry blossom viewing spot near Narita Airport, priced at 1 million Japanese yen.

The other piece is a training photo of ANA's aircraft taking off and landing at Shimojishima Airport in the southwest islands of Okinawa. This NFT is being auctioned, with the current highest bid at 160,000 Japanese yen, and purchasing this NFT will come with the original film.

In addition, ANA plans to release its second NFT project on 6/7, which is a 3D model NFT of the Boeing 787, with two versions and a total of 1,574 pieces priced at 7,870 Japanese yen.
