Introduction of Ethereum four-character domain names with a starting price of 4ETH? Blue-chip NFT issuance numbers paired with corresponding ENS digits spark a craze
The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) has not only seen a 30% increase in token price in the past 24 hours but also transaction fees that are more than double that of Bitcoin, due to the high demand for three-digit and four-digit domain names. The sudden surge in demand has left ENS developers questioning on Twitter, "Am I dreaming?"

Scarcity
NFT blue-chip holder become.eth | 751.eth listed a few reasons:
- There are only 100,000 four-digit ENS domain names.
- ENS could become an email system with hundreds of millions of users.
- Four digits are short and sufficient.
- Numbers often carry significant meaning for everyone.
- Verifiable scarcity and easily identifiable collectibles may also help address the issue of domain name illiquidity.
NFT collector quit.pcc.eth also gave reasons:
1. Culture: This is not an airdrop, passive income, or for making money; it has always been a culture unique to the non-NFT, online world, a part of human nature.
2. Not just about PFP: The operation of four-digit domain names has proven something: PFP is not the only way to build a community.
3. Derivative subdomains: In fact, if you hold 8903.eth, you can message me to discuss creating subdomains like bayc.8903.eth, I would buy. There are also others like azuki.8903.eth, moonbird.8903.eth, punk.8903.eth, and so on; holders of various NFT numbers 8903 will be like family.
Note: Domain owners can create subdomains, for example, 001.eth can create bayc.001.eth.
As of now, based on estimates from the community and trading activities on OpenSea, the entry price for three-digit domains has reached 4 ETH and above, while four-digit domains are priced at 0.3 ETH and above. For example, 4383.eth was sold for 1.5 ETH.
