ZombieClub Easter Egg "Degenerate"! NFT decays over time, up to three stages.
Collaboratively created by renowned artist Shawn Yue and Japanese collage artist Kosuke Kawamura, the NFT project Zombie Club unveiled its latest surprise, "Degenerate," one month after the blind box was released. The already unboxed zombies will gradually decay over time, with a maximum of three different transformation states.

ZombieClub's Nine Races
In an interview at the end of March, Kousuke Kawamura stated that when creating the characters for ZombieClub, he used the concept of 1990s game character designs. He based them on representative monsters or characters from RPGs, science fiction movies, and horror movies, and extended to create nine different races, such as werewolves, Frankenstein's monsters, missionaries, and other characters.
Back then, in order to reduce the load, many different enemy characters were simply changed in color or had their heads replaced to become different monsters. This method is very similar to using a generator to replace character accessories and generate NFTs.
"Degenerate" Easter Egg Revealed
After the appearance and transformations of the nine races were officially revealed to the world, ZombieClub also announced its first Easter egg message.
"Over time, holders will gradually discover the process of decay through the artist's ingenuity, conveying the 'diamond hand' concept contained in 'Degenerate'," said the ZombieClub team.
Specifically, after opening the blind box, the character will decay every 666 hours, reaching a maximum of three stages. As decay progresses, the appearance becomes increasingly blurred.
During the decay process, different states of the image can be accessed. However, if the NFT has been traded or transferred to a wallet, it will revert to its original pixelated state, and the decay time of the NFT will be immediately reset.
NFT Artistic Vitality
ZombieClub's decay design is in line with the increasingly popular dNFT Dynamic NFT mechanism, which involves changing metadata and programming in various ways. In other words, creators can divide their works into different contracts and use AI programs to recreate them into new images.
"The new art form and technology are bringing more viewers to NFT art, allowing artists to create with a small amount of money and providing new ways for artists to rethink the context of their art," said the ZombieClub team.
Destination Already Set
When the ZombieClub project was first launched, its goal was to become an Asian think tank. Although its roadmap is not completely detailed, it is gradually releasing activities that surprise holders.
Currently, its market price has slightly fallen from last month's high point. However, as Louis Koo's thoughts expressed in Discord, only through continuous innovation and bold experimentation can one secure a place in the fiercely competitive NFT space.
