Prior to this, NXT launched its first series, "Maschine," in May, created by the digital art organization Fingerprints DAO and Dutch artist Harm van den Dorpel, featuring spinning light and shadow resembling tires, echoing the themes of sports and speed.
Details of Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons
As a follow-up to Maschine, the main element of the second series, Icons, is "Spoke Wheel Spokes," led by Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener, delving further into the overall design of automobiles.
It is reported that the background of the artwork will span seven eras, retracing the history of automobiles from the present day. Each era will include 2,700 collectibles, totaling 18,860 across the seven eras.
Each era will be released gradually, and fans can mint passes through the official website that is already online here, and later exchange them for digital collectibles. Maschine NFT holders will be able to mint the same number of passes for free based on the NFTs they hold.
The team mentioned that the minting website will remain open until the end of the sales period for the last era.
First Era of "The Era of Luxury" Released
According to the latest official tweet, the first artwork, "The Era of Luxury," is set to be released through a 90-minute Dutch auction, starting from 1 ETH and decreasing to a minimum of 0.1 ETH. If there is remaining time when the auction ends, it will be sold at the minimum price.
Taiwan Can Also Mint!
Furthermore, the team explained that due to regulatory requirements, only residents of EU countries, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, the UK, the US, and Taiwan are eligible to receive minting qualifications.
At the same time, it is advised that passes purchased in the secondary market cannot be verified for redemption for digital collectibles, and users should be vigilant, identify the official unique links, and guard against scams. After all, in the current market, safeguarding assets seems to be more challenging than making profits.
User Queries: Is There Empowerment?
Additionally, in the latest tweet, some users questioned that even if all are sold at the minimum price of 0.1 ETH, the team could still generate around $3 million in revenue, but the official statement seems to have not mentioned any empowerment.
The official response to this can be found here:
These digital objects are considered art collectibles, and when purchased, it should be purely for the enjoyment of collecting, without considering future profits.
