Bored Ape Yacht Club expands universe! Collaborates with Sandbox developer Animoca Brands to create play-to-earn blockchain game.
The popular NFT project Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) recently announced a partnership with the sports brand Adidas. Following this, yesterday (13th), they also revealed a collaboration with The Sandbox developer Animoca Brands to create a blockchain game using Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs, scheduled for release in the second quarter of next year.

BAYC Partners with Animoca Brands
The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT project launched by Yuga Labs has accumulated nearly $1 billion in trading volume on OpenSea since its launch. To purchase, one must be prepared to have at least 54 ETH, approximately $200,000. At a Sotheby's auction in October this year, Bored Ape #8817 was even sold for a staggering $3.4 million.
Yesterday, BAYC announced on Twitter a partnership with The Sandbox developer Animoca Brands, aiming to launch a Play-to-Earn mechanism game in the second quarter of next year.
"NFTs have evolved into a way of cultural preservation, and few projects are as powerful as BAYC in symbolizing the flourishing of NFTs. We are very excited and proud to collaborate on developing a game that marks this cultural milestone," said Yat Siu, Co-Founder of Animoca Brands.
