Takashi Murakami X RTFKT Blind Box Lottery! End of the month airdrop of space capsules, super rare humanoids sold for 149 ETH

After the release of the PFP NFT project "CLONE X" by Takashi Murakami X RTFKT on 12/1, the blind boxes were officially unveiled on 12/13. During the period before the blind boxes were opened, the trading floor price fluctuated around 2.5 ETH. As of the 13th, the price has reached 5 ETH. However, in the opened secondary market floor price is at 2.35 ETH, showing significant differences due to rarity. The official announcement today also includes the benefits that CLONE X collectors can receive.

How to Open a CLONE X Blind Box

Collectors who own CLONE X blind boxes can generate NFTs through the official minting page on the website. The webpage is valid for six months, and the official recommendation is to wait for lower Gas Fees before opening them, until May 12, 2022. The generation process of CLONE involves using Chainlink VRF's random number feature to randomly assign each Token ID.

The vial, an ERC-1155 standard, used to contain CLONE will be destroyed during the blind box opening process and exchanged for an ERC-721 standard CLONE virtual avatar NFT.

Different Races with Murakami Special Editions Stand Out

CLONE exhibits different DNA traits representing various races.

Humans: Accounting for approximately 50% of the total circulation, with rare cursed stone statue types and skin patterns. Around 10% of humans obtain the "Murakami traits."

Robots: Comprising 25% of the circulation, primarily purple, dark, and rare golden robots. About 15% receive the "Murakami traits."

Demons: Accounting for 8.5% of the circulation, approximately 15% receive the "Murakami traits."

Angels: Representing 8.5% of the circulation, approximately 15% receive the "Murakami traits."

Reptilians: Holding 1% of the circulation, about 15% receive the "Murakami traits."

Undead: Making up 0.5% of the circulation, some obtain super rare giant skin, approximately 15% receive the "Murakami traits."

Aliens: Representing 0.13% of the circulation, about 15% receive the "Murakami traits."

Currently, a rare human was sold for 149 ETH in the secondary market.

In addition, there will be 16 artist editions, with nine randomly appearing during minting, and the remaining seven distributed to project creators.

Copyright Usage Restrictions

What brands can learn from this project is that in a previous small flower project by Takashi Murakami, it was clarified that NFT owners do not have the copyright. In CLONE X, there are more explicit rules:

• NFTs without Murakami traits can be used for commercial purposes up to $1 million
• NFTs with Murakami traits are not allowed for commercial use

It is not difficult to imagine that in the open metaverse, as NFT holders increase their value and visibility, there may be corresponding business opportunities, such as individual projects centered around NFTs or endorsement deals, which could potentially cut into existing brand commercial interests.
