Mastercard to enable direct purchases of NFTs! Collaborating with multiple blockchain companies

To make the process of purchasing NFTs more secure and simple, Mastercard is partnering with multiple blockchain companies to enable people to easily buy NFTs using Mastercard without the need to first purchase cryptocurrencies.

Mastercard NFT Purchase Program

Mastercard announced on the 9th that it is partnering with Immutable X, Candy Digital, The Sandbox, Mintable, Spring, Nifty Gateway, and other NFT markets, Ethereum scaling solution platforms, and Web3 infrastructure providers like MoonPay. Users can now choose Mastercard as a payment option for shopping on these companies' NFT markets or using crypto services, even if they do not hold cryptocurrencies, making it more accessible to those unfamiliar with the crypto space.

With approximately 2.9 billion Mastercard cards globally, creators partnering with these companies will have access to a larger pool of potential users, expanding the entire NFT ecosystem.

In addition, in a recent survey conducted by Mastercard involving over 35,000 people in 40 countries/regions, it was found that 45% of respondents have either purchased or considered purchasing NFTs. However, half of them expressed the desire for more flexibility, such as the ability to use cryptocurrencies for everyday shopping or credit and debit cards for NFT purchases.

To ensure user confidence in using Mastercard for NFT purchases, the company promises to utilize its full suite of features to enhance user security and provide the same level of experience and protection as when using Mastercard for regular shopping.
