Meebits are on the move! They can freely change their movements and backgrounds according to mood, presenting dynamic thumbnails on the secondary market.

On the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the NFT classic project Meebits, the official Meebits team has launched a brand new activity on their interactive website "TURN MEE ON" after a six-month hiatus. Not only have they modified the thumbnails of Meebits, but users can also now freely customize the movements and poses of their own Meebits according to their mood, bringing Meebits to life in the NFT trading market!

Introduction to Meebits Interactive Website "TURN MEE ON"

Since Yuga Labs acquired the IP rights of Meebits from Larva Labs last year, in order to breathe new life into these characters made up of multiple blocks, they have launched a special interactive website called "TURN MEE ON". Meebits owners not only have access to exclusive services on the website but also can participate in different experiential activities as the project develops.

Currently, Meebits is in the first stage, known as MB1. MB1 consists of 9 phases. In the MB1.1 event launched in November last year, Meebits owners could redeem physical prints of their Meebits for a limited time.

After six months since the MB1.1 event for Meebits, MB 1.2 quietly arrives as Meebits mark their two-year anniversary.

Meebits Come to Life! Actions that Change with Your Mood

In the MB 1.2 event, the official site has added dynamic elements to the originally static Meebits. Owners can now make their once static Meebits move according to their current mood. There are currently 13 mood options, each with different backgrounds and movements.

Additionally, owners can take photos and create GIFs of their Meebits, which can be downloaded and shared on various social media platforms.

A significant feature of this event is that after owners select a mood for their Meebit and save it with a signature, they can showcase their Meebit's mood and movement dynamically on the secondary market.

For example, when clicking on a Meebit on OpenSea, users can choose to display it in 2D or 3D. Opting for 3D will show the Meebit in motion. However, this does not alter the Meebit's metadata but only displays it in a dynamic way on NFT secondary markets that support HTML, such as OpenSea, Rarible, and Looksrare.

Furthermore, this event introduces new rendering styles for Meebits and updates their metadata. As a result, Meebits' thumbnails in the secondary market have been updated, with the background color changing from gray to purple, giving a brighter and more vibrant overall feel.

Note: Even if you do not own any Meebits, you can still experience the event on the website.

Meebits' Prices Continue to Decline, Down 60% in a Year

Although Meebits have launched new activities after a long hiatus, these activities have not significantly affected their prices despite increasing trading volume. As of the deadline, the lowest price was approximately 2.3 ETH, around $4,300. Additionally, Meebits' prices have been greatly impacted during this NFT bear market, with the coin-based price dropping over 60% compared to the lowest price of 6.3 ETH a year ago.
