Hey! Baby, What is Cryptocurrency?
Ashton Kutcher asked his wife Mila Kunis, "Hey! Baby, what is cryptocurrency?"
Kunis tried to explain, "It's digital money." and then burst into laughter.
Ashton Kutcher asked again, "Hey! Baby, what is blockchain?"
Kunis, with a serious face, said, "It's a place for storing data, it's... you know, 'a place for storing data'." and then laughed again.
Ashton Kutcher continued, "Hey! Baby, what is decentralization?"
This time Kunis looked more confident as she said, "No one person controls anything, everyone controls everyone, so it's not about one big unit or entity controlling the code, but people sharing responsibility with each other."
A Surprise Guest at Home
Ashton Kutcher finally asked, "Hey! Baby, what is Ethereum?"
The camera then moved from Kunis to a corner of the house, revealing Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
Vitalik Buterin quickly responded, "Ethereum is a general-purpose blockchain, unlike other blockchains like Bitcoin, which are designed for a single purpose, which is digital money. Ethereum is a platform where people can build applications, and these applications are protected by a network of thousands of computers around the world that protect and verify each transaction."
Vitalik Buterin continued, "This blockchain supports programming languages, allowing developers to unleash unlimited creativity, enabling them to create things on Ethereum, such as creating cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and many other things."
Ashton Kutcher concluded, "Hmm, makes sense."
Promoting Interactive Cartoon "Stoner Cats" NFT
Ashton Kutcher's tweet tagged Stoner Cats, an animated series combined with NFT, about five special house cats and their magical herb-related adventures with their owner. This NFT functions like fan tokens, allowing holders to access exclusive content from the animation team and merchandise. With a total of 10,420 NFTs sold, the more NFTs are sold, the more benefits they bring to the holders.
The company behind Stoner Cats is Mila Kunis's production company Orchard Farm Productions, in collaboration with other teams. This NFT is issued based on the Ethereum ERC-721 standard. Vitalik Buterin will voice one of the characters named Catsington.
