Put on virtual luxury! LV founder's 200th birthday: Beeple platform launches NFT, combining with Play-to-Earn mobile games

Beeple's NFT auction platform WeNew, following the previous NFT of British tennis legend Andy Murray, is releasing the second NFT in commemoration of the 200th birthday of the founder of luxury brand Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton has also launched the mobile game Louis The Game, where players have the chance to obtain NFTs while on their adventures.

Assistant Professor Ke Ju-jun from National Taipei University of Technology, who has long been following the development of NFTs in Taiwan, commented that LV and Beeple's launch of WeNew aims to issue NFTs + Play2Earn. Game brands and agents that do not quickly understand this new way of value communication may miss out on a great opportunity.

"Louis 200" NFT

Louis Vuitton's 200th anniversary introduces a total of three NFTs, each with 10 copies. Starting from August 15th, one NFT will be given away each day. WeNew emphasizes that each NFT is issued by Louis Vuitton's official Ethereum wallet.

Play-to-Earn Adventure Game for NFTs

Louis Vuitton's postcard NFTs are numbered and stem from another innovation of this event, the Louis Vuitton mobile game: Louis The Game Android、iOS. In the game, you play as the mascot character Vivienne, dressed in various LV products, embarking on an adventure in a virtual world to collect 200 postcards, each representing a piece of Louis Vuitton's history. In this game, you can collect postcards, pass levels, change into different Vivienne outfits, and shop at the virtual LV store.

What's special is that during the game process, players have the chance to encounter NFT pop-up banners, which can be claimed and stored in a digital wallet reportedly until 2022.
