Former First Lady of the United States launches another batch of 10,000 NFT blind boxes, while Trump previews the return to social media with his self-created platform "TRUTH Social".

Former First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, announced that she will release ten thousand NFT blind boxes for former President Trump on President's Day, 2/21. Meanwhile, Trump also posted on his upcoming social media platform "TRUTH Social," which he personally built, hinting at his return to the online community.

POTUS TRUMP NFT

Former First Lady Melania Trump announced on Twitter the launch of "POTUS TRUMP NFT" for former U.S. President Trump, set to be released on Presidents' Day 2/21.

A total of 10,000 NFTs will be issued based on the Solana blockchain and will be sold on the website USA|Memorabilia. The NFT series includes 10 pieces of original digital artwork, each with 500 to 1,750 versions categorized into platinum and gold levels, all priced at $50 and sold in blind boxes without limiting the quantity per user.

Melania Trump stated:

I am excited to showcase my NFT platform and honored to highlight important moments in American history, looking forward to collaborating with others to provide a truly special and authentic part of American history.

Self-Buying NFT?

Earlier reports indicated that Melania Trump first issued the NFT "Melania's Vision" in December last year, pledging to donate the proceeds to the children's care community in support of her Be Best initiative.

The limited edition of "Melania's Vision" was priced at one SOL token and eventually sold for 1,800 SOL. However, according to on-chain data, this seemed to be a buyback by the official rather than an actual transaction:

  • 1/23: The address A that issued the NFT transferred 372,657 USDC to the second wallet B.
  • 1/25: B exchanged 166,900 USDC for 1,816.08 SOL.
  • 1/25: B then sent 1,802.5 SOL to the third wallet C.
  • C is the winning bidder.
  • 1/27: A sent 1,800 SOL to B again.
  • 1/29: B exchanged 1,800 SOL for 168,313.24 USDC.

Trump's Return

Early last year, Facebook and Twitter blocked Trump due to controversial remarks and public safety concerns, leaving Trump with nowhere to engage online, leading him to launch a new social platform "TRUTH Social" under his Trump Media and Technology Group.

On 2/16, Trump posted on the testing TRUTH Social:

Are you ready? Your favorite President will soon be back to see you!

His post was retweeted by his son Donald Trump Jr on Twitter and received a great response.
