The Yuga Labs creative team announced last night that they have acquired the NFT company WENEW and its flagship NFT project 10KTF. WENEW was created by NFT artist Beeple, who has collaborated with various well-known brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Playboy in the past.
10KTF is an interactive digital platform dedicated to creating various peripherals for blue-chip NFTs. These peripherals include backpacks, hat tees, shoes, socks, and more. Currently collaborating with 16 NFT projects, holders of these collaborative NFT projects with the necessary materials can have the protagonist Wagmi-san create exclusive peripherals in the world of 10KTF and showcase them in the metaverse.
Notably, 10KTF does not have a roadmap but instead advances the overall project through weekly storytelling.
"Storytelling and world-building are the foundation of Yuga Labs, and I am excited to work with the creative thinking team at WENEW in a more powerful way. The possibilities we can achieve together are limitless," said Gargamel, co-founder of Yuga Labs.
Following the acquisition, Michael Figge, co-founder of 10KTF, will join Yuga Labs as Chief Content Officer, and Beeple will also join as a consultant. Additionally, nearly 20 WENEW employees will be hired by Yuga Labs, bringing the global workforce to over 100 people.
Today, we are excited to welcome the @wenewlabs and @10ktfshop team to the Yugaverse. Together we will push the boundaries of where the metaverse meets reality through creative storytelling and immersive experiences. Read more about the news here: https://t.co/6NPJgmzxck
