Christie's Continues to Expand into Digital Art

As of now, an auction venue has been set up on the OpenSea website, showcasing Mad Dog Jones' artwork "Forever." Noah Davis, Christie's Digital and Online Sales Director, stated:

Through this collaboration, we boldly bring the Christie's brand into the blockchain, combining our expertise, industry reputation, and authority with the power of decentralization. We hope this represents the beginning of a new era for Christie's NFT sales and attracts more traditional contemporary artists to join the Web3 space.

In March of this year, Christie's set a record by selling Beeple's first NFT "EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS" for $69 million. Earlier this month, his work "Human One" was sold at a Christie's auction for $28.9 million.

Despite its 250 years of history, Christie's shows no signs of aging. Throughout this year, it has collaborated on multiple occasions to exhibit digital artworks. This latest collaboration demonstrates Christie's transformation and its efforts to expand into digital art.
