The new project Otherside by Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is set to launch on May 1st, Taiwan time. The new project Otherside by Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is set to launch in the early hours of May 1st, Taiwan time. Apart from confirming that BAYC and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) holders will receive airdropped land after the auction, the development company Yuga Labs has not confirmed any related benefits for CryptoPunks and Meebits holders.

However, today, Yuga Labs co-founder Gordon Goner made a statement regarding Meebits on Twitter:

"After a break, I found myself writing up plans for Meebits applications. Significant plans take time, but the whole team is excited to start planning Meebits after the launch of Otherside."

Although brief, this statement provides a significant preview of Yuga Labs' next focus, leading to a surge in Meebits transactions. According to NFTGo data, Meebits ranks first in 24-hour trading volume, with a base price increase of over 40%:

Most content shared on Meebits' Twitter account currently focuses on AR augmented reality and use cases for gaming characters. The actual development and integration with Otherside are yet to be announced. As for CryptoPunks, there is currently no public information available.
