MetaMask Launches "Autodetect NFTs" Feature
To activate the "NFT Detection" feature, you will need to upgrade MetaMask to version 10.28 and click on Experimental in the Settings page.
By enabling the "Autodetect NFTs" feature in Experimental and allowing MetaMask to use OpenSea's API, you can view your ERC-721 and 1155 NFTs in your wallet.
It is important to note that MetaMask uses the third-party OpenSea API to detect NFTs in your wallet, which means that your wallet's IP address may be exposed to centralized servers.
Furthermore, since anyone can airdrop NFTs to any account, MetaMask may automatically display NFTs with offensive content, and the metadata of NFTs may contain links to scam or phishing websites. Therefore, when viewing NFTs using this feature, exercise caution with NFTs of unknown origin.
