The South Korean variety show "The Devil's Advocate" has recently received high praise on Netflix. The show invites experts from various fields such as entertainers, doctors, lawyers, YouTubers, etc., to solve problems and engage in intellectual battles, making it an entertainment program that requires a lot of brainpower.

However, Guillaume Patry, a professional gamer turned into a legal dispute, as reported by BreakNews. Guillaume is accused of using non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in a gaming venture for fraud, with the amount involved in the fraud reaching up to 8 billion Korean won, approximately 200 million New Taiwan dollars.

According to reports, in July of this year, the Seoul Seocho Police Station revealed that Guillaume and others were under investigation for suspected fraud. Guillaume has been promoting a Play-to-Earn (P2E) game developed by NFT gaming company Meta Adventure since February last year, but the game never launched, resulting in over 60 investors filing lawsuits against Guillaume and others.

Guillaume's management company Drama House Studio released a statement:

Guillaume confirms that he was only involved as a simple consultant and not as an owner or employee of Meta Adventure. We will fully cooperate with the investigation and do our best to prevent further damage.

According to Meta Adventure's official website, Guillaume, known as Giyom, is the Non-fungible Wizard, NFT, and P2E Ambassador, ranking first on the website despite not holding an official title. When Guillaume appeared on "The Devil's Advocate," the show credited his wealth to cryptocurrencies. Guillaume showcased a clear mind of a professional gamer on the show, but his mysterious and profound side left a lasting impression.
