World of Warcraft (WoW) is a classic MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) that has inspired Vitalik Buterin in his youth due to its centralized nature, indirectly leading to the creation of the Ethereum blockchain.

Decentralized gaming has always been a major goal of blockchain applications, allowing in-game assets such as characters, skills, levels, and items to no longer be controlled by game companies but instead become the autonomous assets of players. PolkaFantasy, a Japanese anime-style blockchain game, is a project moving towards this goal by creating a decentralized play-to-earn game and auction marketplace.

PolkaFantasy, with its Japanese ACG style, has enlisted former Square Enix COO Daishiro Okada as a strategic advisor. The game will also issue NFTs for use by in-game characters and weapons.

Former Square Enix Executive as Consultant to Develop JRPG

Daijiro Okada, former COO of Square Enix, played key roles in the development of the Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest series, and Chrono Trigger. PolkaFantasy, a Japanese anime-style blockchain game, has invited Daijiro Okada to serve as a strategic consultant for the project, drawing from his experience in the gaming industry. Furthermore, Okada's financial background at Deutsche Bank will also help guide PolkaFantasy's primary market direction.

First NFT Game Character Auction with Additional Rewards for Players

On August 23, PolkaFantasy will hold an auction for game characters and weapons as NFTs, accepting bids in USDT, with four tiers of rewards and additional bonuses.

  • The first tier is for the top ten bidders who will receive a unique Legendary Goddess NFT, with an additional full XP token reward if the base bid reaches 5,000, and the highest bidder will also receive a limited XP mana NFT.
  • The second tier is for the remaining top 20% bidders who will obtain a super rare Goddess NFT, with an additional partial XP reward if the base bid reaches $500.
  • The third tier is for the next 20% of bidders after the second tier, who will receive a special Hero NFT, with a small XP reward if the base bid reaches $250.
  • Remaining bidders who bid over $50 and do not meet the criteria for tiers 1-3 will be considered in the fourth tier. Participants will receive a special weapon NFT for in-game use.

Additionally, participants have the opportunity to receive 50 exclusive NFTs by referring friends to join the event.
