pplpleasr, the lead actress of the series "White Rabbit," graces the cover of Vogue

The decentralized video platform "Shibuya" created by Taiwanese animation artist pplpleasr has landed on the cover of Vogue magazine's April issue. Model Zoe, facing the mirror, reflects the female protagonist of Shibuya's first series "White Rabbit," symbolizing Web2 vs Web3.

The Magical Future of the Metaverse

Vogue Taiwan's April issue collaborates internationally with pplpleasr, blending digital art and fashion expertise, featuring the first series, "White Rabbit," as the cover theme.

The article references the sci-fi epic "Dune," mentioning that fifty years later, humanity has yet to achieve the vision of interstellar survival, but the metaverse, cryptocurrency, and NFTs unexpectedly construct another realm in an immersive three-dimensional world, magical and distant, blurring the lines between virtual and reality.

Female Protagonist of "White Rabbit"

The cover features the female protagonist from the previously reported "White Rabbit." Pplpleasr points out that this is the first Web3/anime girl to appear in a magazine.

Furthermore, the naming governance proposal for the female protagonist of "Shibuya" was recently approved, with the proposal using WRAB tokens in users' wallets as voting rights. Mirai was elected with a 47.2% voting rate, followed by Toki and Gwei.

pplpleasr expressed on Twitter that she is very excited to grace the cover of Vogue's April issue, a collaboration she completed with another "Shibuya" digital artist, Maciej Kuciara.

In her interview with Vogue, she discusses NFTs, "Shibuya," and the new paradigm brought by this platform.

As of now, the first chapter of "White Rabbit" has concluded, and the previously mentioned "audience decides the plot" voting has been completed. The community mostly chose the former for the female protagonist's decision between the left door and the right door. The team is now working on the production of the second chapter and is recruiting 3D animation designers, sound designers, Japanese voice actors, and actors for "White Rabbit."
