YG Entertainment's internationally renowned girl group Blackpink announced the launch of an immersive space called "Blackpink The Palace" on the gaming platform Roblox. They will release exclusive limited edition clothing items and host virtual music events online. The game content will also be updated weekly, serving as a long-term fan engagement hub.

Blackpink The Palace to Open on August 25th
Entertainment and IP company YG PLUS announced today that they will launch "Blackpink The Palace" on the 25th, a virtual space filled with Blackpink's unique characteristics, where fans, known as "Blinks," can play on Roblox, explore various MV scenes, collect fan props, and enjoy their strong music and dance style.
It is reported that the palace is created by the renowned British metaverse studio Carta. Dedicated to bridging the gap between artists or brands and their fans, Carta utilizes metaverse experiences to achieve this goal.
Creating a Replica Experience with Small Exhibition Spaces
Similar to commemorative small exhibition spaces, the game content aims to replicate the characteristics of the four idols, MV scenes, and even concert venues.
Players can accumulate in-game tokens Robux simply by logging in, purchase clothing, decorations, or props related to Blackpink, customize character expressions and dance moves.
Furthermore, as an exclusive fan center, Blinks will be able to get close to the virtual characters of the four idols for photos and even join in the festive party with Blackpink and tens of thousands of fans, singing and dancing together.
The official statement also mentions that Blackpink's music content and album releases will be synchronized and partially exclusively updated in the game.
Fans on Both Sides Seem Unconvinced

Roblox users have been pointing out that updates to certain game issues should take priority over such collaborations; while Blackpink fans have claimed that they are not familiar with the game Roblox and have no intention of downloading and playing it.
