"The Bit Has Bars" Bitcoin Rap Battle will award 1 Bitcoin to the commenter

This billion-dollar venture capital firm aims to demystify cryptocurrency with humor and bring conversations around crypto assets to the forefront.

In this six-minute video, Hamilton and Satoshi engage in a fierce debate about the flaws of centralized systems and decentralized assets. The audience for this rap battle includes notable figures such as ZCash CEO Zooko Wilcox-O’Hearn, Blockstream CEO Adam Back, Litecoin founder Charlie Lee, and Xapo CEO Wences Casares.

In the debate, Satoshi criticizes today's centralized systems:

Banking services only exist on Wall Street, while crypto serves every street, leading to increased public interest in cryptocurrencies.

To which Hamilton retorts:

Traditional fiat is strong, cryptocurrencies are fragile, anonymous currency? Wow! So clever, one typo in the sending address and it's gone forever.

This battle is led by investor at venture capital firm Greylock and co-founder of LinkedIn, Reid Hoffman, who expressed:

The hope is to have more discussions between banking capitalists and crypto project founders. Many who don't understand cryptocurrencies only focus on its use in criminal activities or see it as a speculative bubble, assuming the genius behind inventing Bitcoin had malicious intentions.

Hoffman hopes the dialogue continues, especially in the regulatory realm. Following the Libra project's two congressional hearings and various public letters and comments from officials, he believes the conversation between the two sides about the future of cryptocurrencies has not been optimistic. He pointed out:

While having a stable coin that communicates with regulators is a good thing, based on the information released by the Libra project, it doesn't have the crypto ecosystem I expected.

According to reports, the video released offers a giveaway of up to 1 Bitcoin. Until October 5th, simply comment your favorite lyrics from the battle below and register your email to participate, with two winners to be randomly selected.
