Since its establishment, Binance Labs has achieved a high investment return rate of up to 2100%, with total assets under management reaching $7.5 billion.

The cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced today that its co-founder, Yi He, will be the head of its venture capital and incubation arm, Binance Labs.

CZ, CEO of Binance, stated, "As a member of the founding team, Yi He has been actively involved in various affairs of Binance Labs. Many global institutions are no longer able to effectively provide services to society, while some early projects and founders have a vision and motivation to disrupt such institutions. Yi He has played an important role in our search for such projects and founders."

"Now is an excellent time for Yi He to take on a more important role at Labs, where she will help us find projects that are highly resilient, able to survive and thrive in harsh market conditions."

Binance Labs is the largest cryptocurrency asset management venture capital institution in the industry, with a fund investment return rate of 21 times, ranking among the top. Binance Labs manages assets totaling $7.5 billion and has invested in over 200 projects.

Yi He will be responsible for global strategy and daily operations at Binance Labs. One of her key focuses will be providing crucial support for infrastructure projects and enhancing the practicality of cryptocurrency and blockchain innovation projects.

Yi He's vision is to promote the popularity of Web3 and blockchain technology through "establishing industry standards." Under Yi He's leadership, Binance Labs will also focus on investing in founders who are more capable, forward-thinking, and able to shape the future of the industry.

Yi He stated, "Because of my involvement in the growth of Binance, especially experiencing challenging market conditions, I am more clear on what abilities and values founders need to survive and thrive in a resource-limited environment. As leaders in the cryptocurrency field, our goal is to identify sustainable projects, provide support, and build a high-quality blockchain solution ecosystem that can empower the entire industry and help define industry standards."

"We believe that in the next five years, there will be up to 1 billion new Web3 users. However, Web3 will only truly enter the mainstream when products seamlessly integrate into users' lives. To accelerate adoption, we need to focus resources on supporting projects that break the boundaries of Web3 and truly solve real-life problems for users."

Since its inception, Binance Labs has been focusing on investing in early-stage projects in key verticals and has incubated many successful projects in the industry, such as Polygon, FTX, Certik, Nym, Dune Analytics, and more.

The team recently completed the $500 million investment fund raise, with participation from global investment institutions including DST Global Partners and Breyer Capital. Recent significant investments include pStake and Ultiverse.

In addition to Binance Labs, Yi He will continue to lead and support key businesses and departments at Binance, including customer service, institutional business, marketing, Binance C2C, and Binance Finance.
