Twitter posts raise over a billion dollars: 27 types of meme coins on Solana raise $122 million in presale frenzy

Recently, the meme coins launched on the Solana blockchain have caused a frenzy. Among all meme coins on Solana, Book of Meme (BOME) has the highest trading volume, surpassing even the original meme coin, DOGE.

The current meme coin craze in the market is no longer exclusive to Ethereum. Judging from trading volumes, BOME, dogwifhat (WIF), BONK, MYRO, and LADYS are all well-known Solana memes, indicating Solana's strong presence in the meme coin community. Some also believe that meme coins have driven the strong surge of SOL.

SOL has broken through $200, reaching a new market value high, as the meme coin issuance craze sweeps across Solana.

Meme Presale Craze Raises Hundreds of Millions of Dollars

Take BOME as an example, its creator @Darkfarms1 raised around 10,132 SOL, approximately $2 million, by "preselling" meme coins on Twitter.

Zach, an online detective, compiled all the meme coins that were presold on Twitter. Among the 27 meme coin projects, a total of over 650,000 SOL, around $122 million, was raised.

Interestingly, many meme coin projects that raised a large amount of funds have not yet issued tokens and do not have token contract addresses.

Meme Coins May Face Peak

Experts observed that the meme coin trading volume on South Korean exchanges, which are enthusiastic about meme coins, has started to decline significantly. The overall trading volume is also decreasing, indicating that the meme coin craze may have peaked.
