Both Binance and FTX place great emphasis on expanding into the U.S. market. Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, recently stated at the Bloomberg forum that Binance.US will complete its Pre-IPO within one to two months. Both Binance and FTX place great importance on expanding into the U.S. market. Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, recently stated at the Bloomberg forum that Binance's U.S. arm, Binance.US, will complete its Pre-IPO in one to two months. The second round of financing is expected to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars, with the main goal of diversifying investors and following the footsteps of Coinbase's listing process.

Binance.US was established in 2019 to appease regulators and prevent U.S. users from trading on the main Binance platform, as reported by The New York Times. Changpeng Zhao currently holds the majority of shares in both Binance.com and Binance.US. Brian Brooks, former chief legal officer of the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, was brought in as CEO of Binance.US but resigned after only four months. According to The New York Times, some potential investors expressed concerns about the independence of Binance.US from Binance.com due to ongoing U.S. regulatory investigations into money laundering and tax issues at Binance.com.

During the forum, Changpeng Zhao clarified that he serves as a board member for both Binance.US and Binance.com, which are independent entities. While their technologies and products may share similarities, their databases are completely separate and have no connection to China. Zhao also did not rule out the possibility of a global IPO for Binance but mentioned that further research is needed to understand how such a large company could go public.

He also mentioned that in the next five to ten years, we may see traditional stock exchanges merging with cryptocurrency exchanges, indicating a potential IPO for Binance.com.
