GALA surges 140% in a single week! Collaborates with Dwayne Johnson to film a Web3 movie, acquires game studio

The Gala platform, which originated from blockchain games, has recently reported multiple positive developments. Not only did it collaborate with Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson to produce a Web3 movie, but it also acquired the game company Ember Entertainment. Gala will integrate two games into its own blockchain GYRI in the near future. This series of positive news has led to a rapid increase in GALA's value, with a weekly gain of over 100%.

Introduction to the Gala Ecosystem

Gala, a blockchain entertainment company, was founded in 2019 by Eric Schiermeyer, co-founder of the renowned game company Zynga. Initially focused on blockchain game development, Gala has expanded its business to include blockchain music and movies.

Last year, Gala launched the Layer1 blockchain GYRI, designed specifically to handle the transaction volume needed for game growth and expansion, while also providing provable and verifiable ownership for GALA token holders. The GALA token is used to pay gas fees on GYRI and primarily for purchasing platform goods and acquiring platform node eligibility.

Gala Film Collaborates with Two Superstars!

Yesterday, Gala announced on Discord that it is collaborating with Hollywood superstars Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg to produce two Web3 films to be released on Gala Film, running on GYRI. Gala aims to attract fans through this project to bring more users to its blockchain.

Gala also mentioned potential use cases for Gala Film in the future, such as scanning QR codes while watching a movie to claim digital goods that can be circulated on the secondary market. Additionally, there are opportunities to integrate movie peripherals with Gala's games or music, such as decorating movie scenes on the land in Voxverse, a blockchain game based on Gala Game.

Acquisition of Game Company Ember Entertainment

In addition to film and television news, Gala announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the game company Ember Entertainment. Gala plans to integrate the games Meow Match and Dragon Strike into GYRI in the near future.

Officially, cats on Meow Match will become digital assets on GYRI after integration, and Dragon Strike users will receive forging scrolls to transform game characters into NFTs. Additionally, play-to-earn elements will be introduced.

Ember Entertainment currently has a total of 5 games, with the two aforementioned games receiving 4-star ratings or above on the App Store and Google Play.
