SEC Has Not Approved Ethereum Futures ETFs

Despite Ethereum futures trading on the CME for years and being present in markets worldwide, and the SEC approving a Bitcoin futures ETF in October 2021, an Ethereum futures ETF has never been approved.

Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart noted that the key lies with the fund company Volatility Shares, which successfully launched a 2x leveraged Bitcoin futures ETF BITX at the end of June.

He believes this significantly increases the likelihood of the above Ethereum futures ETFs being approved.

Another ETF analyst Eric Balchunas also agrees with James Seyffart's view, suggesting that Ethereum futures ETFs are likely to launch simultaneously on October 16.
