Chainlink announces former Google CEO Eric Schmidt as strategic advisor, LINK rebounds nearly 30%
The oracle solution Chainlink receives a major boost as it is announced that former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has joined Chainlink Labs as a strategic advisor. The price of LINK has surged by 28% since December 6th.

Eric Schmidt spent close to two decades at Google, with the following roles:
- 2001 – 2011: CEO of Google
- 2011 – 2015: Executive Chairman of Google
- 2015 – 2017: Executive Chairman of Alphabet Inc.

According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI), Eric Schmidt's estimated net worth is $26.8 billion, ranking 55th globally.

Boosted by the positive news, Chainlink LINK surged by 10.51% in a single day and has risen by 28% since 12/6; however, it is still nearly 60% below its all-time high of $53.
