Data platform Dune collaborates with new features! Off-chain data is now open for use, allowing users to set their own chart update time.

The blockchain data platform Dune released four new features on the 18th, focusing on enhancing the efficiency for Dune's chart developers in creating data dashboards, aiming to facilitate team collaboration.

Dune Collaboration Feature Update - Folders

Before the introduction of this feature, users' creative content was displayed in a flat manner on their personal pages, causing inconvenience in data organization for teams and users producing large amounts of content.

With the launch of the Folders feature, users can now organize charts and data panels on Dune in a structured manner. Additionally, the contents of the folders can be set to public or private, facilitating collaboration among team members.

To use this feature, users can click the button in the red box on their personal creation page to create a folder.

Dune Collaboration Feature Update - Off-chain Data Integration

With the continuous development of Dune, more and more blockchain data can be statistically analyzed and queried on Dune, and now even off-chain data can be displayed on Dune.

Users can now upload static files such as CSV files to Dune and use this data to create charts, queries, or data panels. The image below shows an official use case, comparing ETH prices with the U.S. federal funds rate.

For actual usage, refer to the official tutorial video.

Dune Collaboration Feature Update - Custom Data Update Time

Currently, data charts on Dune are updated within a fixed time period. However, the official team believes that the update time for data should not be uniform. Therefore, users can set the update time for individual charts themselves to construct more complex and accurate analyses.

On the right side of the chart creation, there is now a clock button that allows users to set the update time.

Dune Collaboration Feature Update - Chart API Endpoints

While this feature is not available for free users, paid users can currently create, read, and upload charts outside of Dune's development environment. Users can build more complex workflows and manage charts on platforms such as Github.
